SPECIAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
We are dedicated to ensuring that all students receive a high-quality education tailored to their unique individual needs. The special education department is rooted in the principle of Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), which guarantees that every student with a disability has access to educational opportunities designed to help them succeed. Our commitment to providing specially designed instruction is at the heart of our special education department, ensuring that each learner's unique needs are met with care and precision. It includes instruction; accommodations, modifications, supports; and related services needed as determined by a child’s individualized education program (IEP) team in order to access the general education curriculum.
The Honey Creek Community School Special Education Department is here to assist students and families through the special education process. We offer support in areas such as requests for initial evaluation, conducting evaluations, eligibility recommendation, the creation and implementation of an Individualized Education Program (IEP).
