There is no homework other than to watch a weather report either on the internet or on tv. Students should observe the language, vocabulary, and mannerisms for it because they will be working on something similar to this when they eventually do the weather project.  

In class, students gave input and peer reviews to other projects, commenting on both things that they learned from the ecosystem and what they felt the creator could improve upon. Students worked in class on the project, and learned how to use a bibliography entry for photos that they took from the internet. The final project is due on Friday, Dec 9th.

In class, we reviewed the project checklist which outlines all the necessary components to a great ecosystem project.  From here on out, there will be no class time used for working on the project so students are responsible for working on it at home.  The project is due Friday, Dec 9th. Students continued to work on the project in class on Mon/Tues.   Population size computer simulations were introduced to help students understand how they will incorporate it into their project. Ecology Population Size computer simulation  

Students used time in class to work on their ecosystem project.   Food webs for the project were reviewed and now students will be thinking about “Interactions” within their ecosystem (Predator/Prey, Symbiosis, Competition). Students spent time in class conducting research towards their “That’s Life” ecosystem project. Students also had mini-conferences with Jon to ensure their project direction.
