Students will print out a map specific to their city of choice for the weather unit, that shows weather stations reporting information.

Weather Station Maps for regions around the United States
1) Click on the region in the United States your city is located on the map.
2) In the upper left hand corner, hover over “Observations”
3) Click and download “Printable Observation Maps (PDF)”
4) This map should be the area of the US that includes your city.
5) Put a star symbol on your city
6) Create Isotherms for a range of temperatures appropriate for your area (intervals of 2 or 5 or 10 degrees, depending on your range of temperatures)
7) Indicate on the map which direction the wind is blowing (looking for clockwise/High Pressure and counterclockwise/Low Pressure directions)
