Language Arts 2/6-2/7

We started class today with word study. This week’s root words are cede and brev. Make sure you pick up a copy of this week’s word study sheet if you missed class.

Second, we read the poem “Elegy for a Diver” by Peter Meineke. We talked about the beauty and the tragedy of the language, the connections to the story of Icarus, as well as the repetition within the poem. Stunning!

The rest of the remaining class time (about 30 minutes) was spent working on projects.
