We started class today with a partner spelling test from last week’s word study lists. Make sure you get me your word study sheet if you were absent for today’s class.
Then we had story time! We read The Relatives Came by Cynthia Rylant. We talked about the sensory language she used in her fairly simple story about the relatives from Virginia visiting.
We then had our final book group discussions for this unit. After that, the rest of class was spent working on memoir drafts.
