Physical Education and Swimming News: March 2013
Just after mid-winter break, classes are starting a multi-week floor hockey unit. Students will be learning the elements of stick handling and passing, as well as the overall rules and strategies of the game. After floor hockey, we will begin a speed stacking unit. Speed stacking is a wonderful lifetime activity that not only works on eye-hand coordination, but utilizing both sides of the body simultaneously.
The pool was fixed over break, so all the classes are finally back in the water. After almost a month for some classes of being out the water, we are a bit behind, so the following weeks will be utilized catching everyone up to speed and building back up their swimming endurance.
