Aftercare Staff
The Honey Creek After School Program Schedule for May 20th-24th is attached to this email. Please note the following:
1) Monday, May 20th is the LAST DAY of Girls on the Run and K-3 Basketball.
2) K Girls Soccer meets Monday, May 20th.
3) 4-8th Basketball ended last week.
4) There will be no more additional R.E.C.E.S.S. sessions this school year.
5) Wednesday, May 22nd is the last day of 4-8 Art.
6) Tuesday, May 21st is the Spring Performance at 3:30pm. No other after school classes/clubs will be in session that day. Please note that students will ONLY be dropped into after care if they are not picked up immediately following the performance. We ask that parents please check in with a member of the after school team before leaving with your children so that we know they were picked up safely.

What is After Care?
Honey Creek offers a complete after school program. After Care is available to all students. It provides daily enrichment activities, play and snack. In addition, all after school clubs and activities fall under the Honey Creek After School Program. ALL students who wish to participate in any after school club, sport, care, or activity must be enrolled in the Honey Creek After School Program.
With the $10/child enrollment fee if paid by September 30th (enrollment fee increases to $20.00 after September 30th) you will receive:
- Access to all after school activities, sports, care, and clubs sponsored by HCCS
- Quality, affordable childcare licensed by the Family Independence Agency
- Drop-in options for unexpected childcare needs (dependent on space availability)
- Free after school care when parents are in the building volunteering on behalf of the school (for students in grades K-8)
- Extended day childcare on early dismissal days.
We recommend that all Honey Creek students enroll in After Care. In addition to providing scheduled care, After Care has drop-in options for unexpected childcare needs (dependent on space availability). If you are unable to pick up your child on time and your child is enrolled in After Care, simply call the After Care office.
After School Clubs & Activities
The Honey Creek After School Program offers a variety of clubs and programs throughout the year. Recent options include Art Studio, Capoeira, Chess, Choi Kwang-Do, Ecomaniacs, Guitar, Italian, Legomaniacs, Swim, and Violin. Additional activities are added based on student and parent interest. *** Honey Creek values our parent volunteers. Free after school child care is available for students in grades K-8 when their parents are in the building volunteering on behalf of the school.
If your child requires smaller group activities and/or more specialized attention we will contact you with more information and rates.
Scholarship money is available.
How to Enroll
We encourage you to register for aftercare and Extended Day Care before school starts. However, you may turn in your registration forms at any point during the school year.
You will have the opportunity to learn about and register for many of the fall special After School Programs during the first month of school. Registration for these special After School Programs will continue as long as space is available. Please know that there may be an extra cost, depending on the activity or club.
New After School classes will be offered throughout the school year. Check your email and this website to learn about these opportunities.
